I made this simple map of the Island caves and artifact locations to reference, so I figured I'd share it here.

It's a shame that artifact caves are always blocked by players. Would be nice if building was restricted in those areas so people have a chance to run though them or get cave tames.

On most official PvP servers alpha tribes only build in the Ice and Devourer caves, sometimes in the ocean caves or Pack cave but that'south less common. If you're in a cluster with access to the FLC maps like Rag or Crystal Isles, yous tin go ahold of those blocked artifacts actually hands and just transfer them dorsum abode. Unremarkably have much easier access to the cave tames like Megalania on Rags/etc as well. Not perfect but at least there's that option

I'thousand somewhat new to ark, started a few days ago and lvl 60 something, somehow I haven't been able to find any caves

Near caves except underwater ones are easy to miss if y'all ain't right up to them. Enterances tend to be quite small

In my experience, it'southward really easy to stumble upon cave entrances when one isn't looking for them. lol
Simply user pastoriagym is right. Youtube is your best bet, as the wiki isn't always reliable, and many Youtubers will apply a GPS in addition to showing you the cave entrance itself.

I've made one of these for each map. Not every bit pretty and concise as yours is. Awesome!

This is very well conceived and easy to read. However, I take a thought about this. Given that on officials it can be difficult to obtain all artifacts necessary for any of these fights. And considering that artifacts are transferable. Perhaps you could make an alternate map in the same fashion for obtaining these artifacts on crystal Isles? That way people have an alternate reference map to use if they can't brand full use of this 1 due to their server circumstances.

So what do the words mean like which cave I'd the hardest and easiest of each?

The words are the names of the artifacts located in each cave. Antiquity of the Clever, for case. Y'all eventually utilise these to open up a portal at the obelisks to fight each of the bosses listed at the top of the image.
